Spring has Sprung
Spring started in Australia this September, and down at Preston, you can already see and feel it.
The other day I was driving in through Yalgorup National Park and had to flash my lights to slow down a car; a mother emu was near the road with about six little chicks foraging for food. I have never seen chicks so small, and I stayed in my car watching them until they moved back into the safety of Yalgorup. It’s one of those small moments that makes you remember why this place is so amazing.
One little tip while we’re talking about spring. Mosquito season is here; they are waking up, so I have restocked the repellents. When you're down south, cover up as the sun goes down.
More soon.
